浸漬紙包電纜:適用于不大于45kV交流電及不大于400kV直流電的線路。目前只限安裝于水深500m以內的水域。

自容式充油電纜:適用于高達750kV的直流電或交流電線路。由于電纜為充油式,故可以毫無困難地敷設于水深達500m的海域。

擠壓式絕緣(交聯(lián)聚乙烯絕緣、乙丙橡膠絕緣)電纜:適用于高達200kV交流電壓。乙丙橡膠較聚乙烯更能防止樹枝現象及局部泄電,使海底電纜更有效地發(fā)揮功能。
